The all-new TEMPEST line of stainless steel hoppers for work trucks range in capacities from 1.5 to 5.0 cu yd and provide your choice of material delivery system. Choose the HELIXX™ shaftless auger system for precise rock salt application or the robust pintle chain conveyor system for thick, heavy materials like sand or salt/sand mix.

Paired with the latest in de-icing technology and a catalog of accessories, the TEMPEST will allow you to tailor your de-icing services to your customer’s demands.

Material Delivery System

PINTLE CHAIN CONVEYOR
The pintle chain is Fishers tried and true material system seen in most sanders. Allowing you to spread both sand and salt while reducing bridging.
HELIXX AUGER
The auger system is new with the Tempest line of sanders. This patented auger material system is ideal for salt only applications.

Stainless Steel Tempest Key Features

Hopper Construction
The hopper is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel and constructed entirely of rivets and bolts, with no welding. This provides a cleaner stainless look and is easier to repair for long-life and protection against stress.
Extended Material Delivery & Pre-Wet Chamber
A material delivery extension reduces leaking/spilling during transport. This provides a more cab forward design, allowing for added stability and weight distribution of the hopper.
When equipped with the optional pre-wet accessory, it leads into the patented pre-wet mixing chamber.
Chute Assembly
For precise material application, the chute assembly can be configured for either pickup truck or flatbed and dump body applications, ensuring you’re always spreading at the optimum height. An extended chute is standard on 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 cu yd models. Sold separately for 1.5 and 2.2 cu yd models.
Steeper End Caps
The end caps are at more of an angle to provide better material flow so the hopper load can be evenly spread with each fill.
In Cab Controller
Enhanced dual variable-speed control allows you to precisely match material delivery and spread patterns to conditions. Four standard accessory buttons and a dedicated blast button provide optimum in-cab efficiency.
2 Season Warranty
All installed Fisher Equipment come with a 2 season warranty.

A genuine FISHER® LED Work Light system will grant you increased visibility at the rear of your spreader. Encased in anodized aluminum, and rated beyond -20º F, this LED Work Light system projects over 1000 lumens to help you monitor material distribution and illuminate potential hazards while backing up.
Strobe Light
Make sure you’re seen, day or night, with our complete hopper LED Strobe Light system. Constructed from high-impact plastic, and rated beyond -20º F, this yellow LED strobe system has been designed to last and will ensure that you’re seen in even the worst of conditions.

Vibrator Kit
Designed to help move stubborn material and prevent bridging, a genuine FISHER® Vibrator system will ensure that less-than-ideal material, which is prone to bridging and clogging, will not hold you up when you need to be on the move.
Rear View Material Monitoring Camera
Easily view your material output from the comfort of your cab by using the material monitoring camera. It attaches to the top of your spreader for optimal visibility of material spread pattern. The monitor is installed inside your cab so you can ensure a smooth spread pattern and optimal material output.
Auto Speed Control
Gain more insight into spread rates and reduce wasted material - all with a control that provides an interface your operators are already familiar with. The all-new patent pending Auto Speed Control Ties directly into the vehicles OBD-II port for instant reactions to change in speed, saving you material and money.
